Chapter Membership

Support advocacy efforts, learn about assistive technologies, attend chapter meetings, and receive our award-winning newsletter News & Views.

Our membership structure is changing.

In recent years, membership in the New York City Chapter was linked with membership in HLAA National. If you paid dues to National and lived in New York City, you were automatically assigned New York City Chapter membership. Going forward, chapter membership will be handled by the chapter.

If you are on our mailing list and receive email blasts about chapter activities, you are already a member of the NYC Chapter, by virtue of being on our mailing list. Residency in New York City is not required. If you are not already on our list and wish to join our chapter, please email info@hearinglossnyc.org. There are no dues, but we hope you will support the chapter through direct donations or by raising money through the Walk4Hearing (September 17).

As a member of our chapter, you are eligible to vote in our annual election of board members every May. For administrative purposes, we need to keep a separate list. If you would like to be a voting member, please click here to receive an announcement of the annual meeting.

We hope to see you at our chapter meetings, which will remain virtual while we explore a hybrid structure. To learn about topics for future chapter meetings, please read our chapter e-news, News & Views, and explore our website.

We encourage you also to support HLAA’s National organization by becoming a member. The National organization provides information, education, support, and advocacy to over 48 million Americans people with hearing loss. To join, please click here.

Thanks for supporting HLAA. See you in September!
