Tina Childress, who recently spoke to our chapter on captions, is an educational audiologist, late-deafened adult,  and a bilateral cochlear implant recipient who also is fluent in ASL. She has worked in the field of audiology since 1998, and her experience includes working in the mainstream and residential school settings as well as for a cochlear implant manufacturer.
